As per my norm, Tuesday is my productive day. Little Bo Peep has her pants and her lamb has his ears. Two more frogs cut, sewn, and ready to be assembled. This baby got sculpted hair sewn on, and dressed, well...kinda dressed. Her outfit is a onsie that will actually be cut in half and made into a two piece and no diaper yet! She does have a pink headband to hold her curly brown hair in place, lol. I also sketched more animals like the frog, I envision a whole menagerie. Not sure what the dumpling gang will be called! I hopefully will have some finger puppets cut for my take along bag tomorrow before I start my work week.
Wedding plans are coming together and the bumps in the road have easily been handled and moved past. I was hunting down my wedding cake pans today until I realized Tabetha has them. She'll pop them in the mail so I can make the wedding cake for the kids. I've also been brainstorming their favors and have a few in mind and will work some up to see how I like them next week.

This little guy was not on my to do list today but he sure turned out cute. He was just a frivolous way to spend my afternoon. He sits about 5"tall and has a 7"leg span. After completing him. of course, I realized I forgot, once again, to put a tag in him but was able to slide one in when I hand sewed his legs on. I haven't decided if the next one will have a stick out tag or one sewn on the bottom of his foot. Mark was much more productive than I today, completing two child size Adirondack chairs and a matching table to sell as a set. They sure turned out awesome!

My newest project is Little Bo Peep and while she is still lacking her panties and her shoes, I am very pleased with her! I love her simplicity and of course, thrilled with how her hair style came out. Mark thinks she's "adorable". I think perhaps I can find at least one sheep for her tomorrow before I go to work. I still have a pile of babies to finish, all need hair and clothes and some need their sculpting done. I am so behind schedule, ugh. I decided to make some sets of finger puppets and will get them cut and thrown into my take along bag since they will be all hand sewn. Mark chuckles because the bag comes along everywhere. Considering it takes 30 minutes to get to anywhere around here, I can accomplish a lot of sewing in otherwise wasted moments. I'm thinking of making drawstring bags for the finger puppet sets but haven't decided if they'll be simple or embroidered! The latest joke in our house is Mark asking where the tag is on each new project and I think I have two babies with tags. The rest I have forgotten which really ticks me off. I'll probably have him design me some rectangle sew on tags and I'll sew them on the babies butts when I forget to pop one in a seam!

We are busy putting together Jacqueline's wedding and I have to say, that planning long distance is NOT a piece of cake! Fortunately, Jacq has been able to visit florists, wedding sites, and caterers! I just have to delegate from afar, lol. I did find a VFW hall to rent for the reception and am planning her favors and decorations. In between wedding plans, Mark and I are working on our craft show plans and we've been productively building our inventory! He informed me last night that I need to make more monsters, so that will be on my agenda next week. This week I am finishing babies, trying out a Little Bo Peep and her sheep set! My order of safety eyes arrived today and I'm looking forward to finishing my squid and seeing how he looks. I'm picking up some extra work hours today, and while I'm not looking forward to the extra time, this one day will pay for Jacq's flowers! I ordered some "micro preemie" diapers and they too, arrived today. Boy, are they little! However, they are the perfect size for the little preemie and smaller babies! Now to make some diaper bags for the new mommies.
No hair or clothes, but she does have a diaper!

Daughter #2, Jacqueline, and her honey, Jeff, announced their engagement this week! While they initially planned on eloping, I convinced them that they should at least have a small wedding to help make the day special. So, we are in wedding planning mode for the next 2 1/2 months and I have faith they will have wonderful memories of their wedding day! We love Jeff and are thrilled to have him as part of our family. We are in the midst of craft show preparations, not only as vendors, but as the organizers so the next few months will be packed full!

It was baby making week and while only one, Lucas, is completely finished, I feel I accomplished something! Another one is ready to embroider and assemble and hopefully, I will get her done tomorrow before I start my work week. I've picked up an extra 4 hour shift each Monday afternoon and I'm hoping it will only cut into my nap time and not my production time!
I know the person who invented the space bag seen in infomercials once opened a bulk box of stuffing! It cracks me up everytime I walk by and realize how much more it has expanded!

Tropical Storm Hanna rolled over us Saturday and I slept until the fire dept decided to brave the minor winds to cut a tree down across the street from us. After my last night of work, I wasn't real happy to waken to the sounds of barking dogs and chainsaws! But, considering they are my firefighter brothers, I'll let them slide! The rain and tide expected never materalized and Mark and I were able to make it to the local eatery to have our usual Saturday night breakfast!
I tore the crab apart this weekend, shortened the legs and while I still have some tweaking to do, curve the front claws and move their placement a tad, I'm quite happy with the little guy!
After much thought, I decided that the squid didnt need longer legs, he needed a smaller body! Duh! The work in progress has a new face, the eyes will sit partially under the scalloped edge, hopefully creating an eye lid implication. PLEASE notice the new tag. This is the first creature to sport a sewn in tag with our name! Thank you Mark!

Only the morning to play on Wednesdays and then it's nap time and off to work for the night. This guy was the result today. Another prototype, tweaking left to do and then he'll go into production with Sammy Squid! I think shorter legs/claws, LOL. He doesn't have eyes yet, just pins to check placement and I think embroidered eyes is the ticket on him. I also cut out some elf clogs, trying to get ready for craft show season where I've learned that small ticket items sell best. These clogs will be adorable with a baggie of candy, personalized of course, tucked inside! Once cut, they go in the take along bag and can be finished anywhere, including work if time permits.

We custom made a buggy for a little one and had the privilege of delivering it in person. Abi hasn't quite gotten the idea that the buggy is for her baby and not for her!
I used the drive to make this little 8 inch preemie and blanket. I think she is adorable, but then most moms are biased!
The little one loves her paci!
