I've stayed out of the cabin fever syndrome by staying productive. Keeping motivated to maintain my goals for the year I've started a Christmas Countdown calendar for the girls. I wanted to make one this past year but as usual, my time management problems prevented that from happening! This calendar is made in steps so you can use one or several parts if the entire project doesn't get finished. I, however, WILL get it finished in time! It consists of two wall hanging sections, one with pockets to hold the ornaments and the other a tree to hang them on each day. I'm happy to announce the pockets are completely embroidered and ready to put on the first hanging. A lady at work who quilts has graciously offered to show me how to bind it since I want to use batting and a backing, and it's easy she says!
I've also made several burp cloths for my expecting friends, as well as one a Baltimore Ravens onsie since she is a big fan, even if they aren't going to the Super Bowl. I also ordered some Ravens fabric to make her a diaper bag since she was so thrilled with the onsie! I'll probably make her a set of burp pad and bib too.
I got some great ribbon and made some key fobs. I want to make a batch for my coworkers for Nurses Week and the ones I've made so far are quick and a lot of fun.
I also have been working on Valentines gifts. I love the sock monkey on this shirt for Ayla!
I found just the right fabric to make a puppet theater for Ayla for her birthday and that will be on my to do list shortly. The theater will hang from a tension rod in a doorway and have a matching storage bag to store it away. I also filled a rather large order recently; fortunately, I had a quiet night at work and got quite a lot done. Also have some monsters almost finished to replenish the store inventory. Monsters go fast! I have my take along bag ready to go since I start my work week tonight. Hopefully, I'll get a few more things finished today before I lay down.
Keep busy, get some sunshine, and see you all soon!
